IT DON'T MEAN NUTHIN'
By Andrew Alday
When I was a young man, and everything was strange
My country sent me off to war, in a land where I would change.
I was sent to fight a war, in a land I hardly knew
I would learn to love and hate this place, before the year was through.

And it don't mean nuthin', except to those that were there.
No it don't mean nuthin', except to those that care
No it don't mean nuthin'.

Before to long I lost my youth, my hope and faith as well
Believing I could find some peace, inside this bit of Hell.
Fear, death and confusion, would take thier toll on me
But I stood tall and weathered all, and learned to let it be.

And it don't mean nuthin', except to those that were there.
No it don't mean nuthin', except to those that care
No it don't mean nuthin'.

When bullets flew and young men died, on either side we lost.
To us it was to prove who's right, but God ! at such a cost.
And now that I've been back, for all these many years
I think about the ones we left, and with that come the tears.

And it don't mean nuthin', except to those that were there.
No it don't mean nuthin', except to those that care
No it don't mean nuthin', No it don't mean nutin',
No it don't mean nuthin'............................

Jane Fonda Film Banned From Kentucky Theaters...

The owner of two Kentucky theaters has refused to show the
new Jane Fonda film "Monster-in-Law" because of the activist
role the actress took during the Vietnam War.

Ike Boutwell, who trained pilots during the Vietnam War,
displayed pictures of Fonda clapping with a North Vietnamese
anti-aircraft crew in 1972 outside the Elizabethtown Movie
Palace to show his disapproval. The marquee outside Showtime
Cinemas in nearby Radcliff reads: "No Jane Fonda movie in
this theater."

"I think when people do something, they need to be held
responsible for their actions," Boutwell said. "When you give
the enemy aid, it makes the war last longer."

Fonda has apologized for being photographed on a North
Vietnamese anti-aircraft gun, but not for opposing the war.

If this bitch ever thinks what she's done will be forgotten...she'd better re-think it, I will NEVER let her off the hook. Every chance I get, I will re-call attention to what this traitorous slut has done. Eat shit and die bitch, may the worms consume your dispicable, worthless body.

Thoughts and Memories from my Tour in Nam...'66-'67

Verily I say unto thou...as minute grains of pumice ever floweth thru the glass time keeper, thou haveth the choice, or chance, to invert the keeper..thusly re-newing thy time either, supine or prone, upon this globe of terra-firma and aqua. What thou doeth with thy gift, or anguish, of more time rests firmly upon thy belief or non-belief in the Godz; it will also rest upon the quantity of the Holy Water thou comsumeth during thy Crusade in search of the Holy Graile. Could be, methinks, that thy objective haveth already been reached, all thou haveth left be the consumption of the remaining Holy Water; with re-newed inverting of the glass time keeper.....Thou will receive more Holy Water.

May thy pumice grains never spill from the glass time keeper and thy flask of the Holy Water forever be full.
I'd like to make this 'crystal'...not complaining, or moaning...just putting scattered thoughts together; playing the hand I was dealt. I'm proud to have had the opportunity to try giving peace to a troubled, corrupt land...prouder yet, to have served with the finest fighting men in the world...U.S. Marines.

Reflecting back on my in-country tour, at times it's hard to believe I was really there. Other times, I'm still there; after it's rained, the smell of the dirt haunts me as do some songs on the radio. But that's another story.
I've often wondered if we were doing the right thing, answer is always 'yes'; the methods were adequate. Politicians are what lost the war, along with the likes of dan rather, walter cronkite, morley safer, ed bradley, hanoi 'traitor slut' jane, tom hayden, et all. Tet '68 was the death knell for the VC and NVA, admitted by their own leadership...walter cronkite got on TV saying the war was 'unwinable'. All this accomplished was strengthening the resolve of the North and continued bloodshed; majority of which is on the hands of the above mentioned, along with all the protesters back home.

How could a country so beautiful hold so much misery? Such horror and devastation? More than 58,000 Bros are on that black granite Wall in D.C., most of whom probably thought the very same thought. Young Men...19 years old, some a little older, some even younger...scarred for life in body, mind or spirit. Scarred from their experience in the Nam, then ostracized by their fellow citizens here at home. Was very fashionable to protest the war, call Vets 'baby-killers', spit and throw feces at them....Now, it's the 'cool' thing to claim VietNam Veteran status....to those people I say, screw off...you didn't want us then and don't know what to do with us now.

Can still see the line of villagers, running up a trail...carrying their baskets of whatever suspended by the long stick on their shoulders...we were in the middle of nowhere, not a village around; the column of Tractors was halted....all at once they came, running up that little pathway, about 25/30 of them. Where they came from and where they were going is still a mystery.

The nameless Grunt sitting on top of my Tractor, talking to me...taking that round thru his helmet, that was mine...if he wasn't sitting there...all I know is he was in Delta 1/1 I think, or Bravo 1/1. Watched thru the periscope, seeing him 'mouth' words..thought he was alive still. Started up thru the cupola to get him to cover but someone pulled me back inside....the 34 Dog med-evaced him out, all I could think of was his Mother and the telegram she would be receiving...this was about the same time my Bro, Jimmy Branson was KIA....September '66 was not a good month.

Re-located an entire village, livestock and all while under fire...the villagers had given up some VC. Often wondered how safe they were after we moved them hell, all they wanted to do was plant rice and tend the paddies.

Used to go into the 'ville by hi-way 1...play pinochle and eat 'monkey' burgers....lots of times life was pure boredom...Grunt Regimental C.O. didn't appreciate us playing football naked...man, he really flipped out over that. Other times was sheer terror, ambushed at night moving C 1/1 by the Leper colony...one of the Grunts got his legs caught in the track channel, wasn't clear as we turned into the ambushers.

The 'Ontos' crew that stopped to help me when I broke track coming out of the 'HorseShoe'...Bros saved my ass big time. They left to head back into 1/1 Bn CP, the crewchief of the Ontos was ending his tour and goining 'back to the World'. Just as my crew drove the last retaining pin into the repared track, we heard an explosion....Ontos had struck a mine at the in-descript water crossing in the desert. The crewchief never made it home...a Brother I never even knew his name....Rest well my Brother.

Irks the hell outta me to put Tilly's flick here with this traitorous bitch, but for the sake of showing a real American Hero, Tilly, and the treasonous bitch hanoi jane in comparison...I think I'll get my point across. You see, Tilly was KIA at CauViet on 06Sept67 as 1st AmTrac personel were conducting a foot patrol as 'AmGrunts', AmTrackers converted to Grunts. My Brothers like Tilly were the 'creme de la creme' of our generation, the 'fondas' of my gereration were the 'dregs'

Git Sum Tilly!

Jane Fonda seeks exoneration, forgiveness from her traitored Nation.

What say you Warriorors that fought that War? Is forgiveness due this wartime whore?

So rich, so smart, she thought she knew, much more than us...we bloodied few.

So smug, self serving, seeking fame; the rich bitch played her seditious game.

A game that cost me many friends, many thanks to jane, came to bad ends.

I've borne scars forty years or more, from lies laid on me by this whore.

Self-serving now she SELLS her tale, this traitor who should be in jail.

Is it within our souls to grant her grace? Our Souls shout, "No...spit in her face!"

So self assured, she played high stakes; telling American prisoners, "That's the breaks."

She accused brave men of heinous crimes, which were disproved in future times.

And now our Country knows the truth, jane fonda betrayed us in our youth.

She asks us now to read(buy)her book, Americans, the folks this bitch forsook.

So now she crawls, her conscience bare, to tell us she 'screwed up' back there.

Well Hell, we knew that way back then.

This Hanoi jane who helped them win, it was 'glory' then for this airhead star.

But forever now she'll bear the scar, a scarlet letter she'll now wear...

A stench forever in her hair.

So dear jane, you must realize, you're the devil in a helmet in our eyes.

When VietNam Vets raise up their toasts, it's to damn your soul, to salute our ghosts.

We swear, we living, to our long dead brave...We'll live to piss upon your grave.

So jane, good fortune, unforseen...your TRAITOR'S grave will be forever green.

This individual by his actions after returning from VietNam, caused more U.S. lives to be lost, was in colusion with the NVA and VC in Paris and flat out lied that Nam Vets were killing indiscriminately, taking part in 'free fire zones'...simply put, a 'free fire zone' was an area where there were no known friendlies...not indiscriminate killing zones. He should not be in office under the regulations that he met with the enemy twice on un-approved meetings in Paris as an active duty Naval Officer. That spells 'TRAITOR' to me.
